We are Certified Organic by QCS and have been since we began farming in 2000. Our goal is to provide the best fresh and locally grown vegetables and fruits, organic, naturally. The farm may be small but we have learned to grow intensively and use space to the max.
Year round growing conditions give the opportunity to produce in all seasons, yielding crops for different times of the year. Just when we think we've reached our goals, we find new levels to strive for. Of course, Mother Nature dictates how and when we grow, but we're learning to cooperate with her and are able to supply local shoppers and restaurants with the finest local and organic produce. We adhere to the strict practices of USDA NOP standards, including ethical and sustainable farming by utilizing heirloom varieties, procuring local compost ingredients and making our own soil amendments. We have been involved with UF/IFAS, and USDA potato and tomato trials for several years and have ongoing trials of papaya and grapes. We are honored to be a recipient of the Slow Food Snail of Approval.
The farm operates seven days a week, harvesting on Thursday and Friday for sale at the Downtown Fort Pierce Farmers' Market on Saturday. We do not sell from the farm, and welcome visitors by appointment on Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday.
